Default Sour deal with CIVICDRGRCR

Bought a 1995 Integra LS Throttle Body off of

Jonathan Elias (civicdrgrcr)
Washington DC 20011

for $60 shipped. Jonathan shipped me a damaged throttle body. Here is what transpired:

-----------------------------------------------
hey man .. i got the throttle body today ... definately was not expecting that big ass ding in the lip... its not damaged horribly... so i can still use it .. i am gonna send it to a machine shop to get bored .. and they will be charging me more to fix the damage .. so id like to get back about $20 on this deal

thanks
Alex

> First of all the throttle body is fine. I have never had any problems with it at all. I have boosted 17psi fine with it. My b18b was bone stock and ran 12.56 on slicks and 13.1 on street tires. I didn't see anything wrong with the Throttle body. I even shipped it out without letting the check clear.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No the throttle body is not fine... do not try and tell me that big ass dent doesnt effect the airflow into the Intake manifold... thats the same as selling me a dented ass header.. like i said in the previous email .. luckily the throttle body is to be machined .. or id be sending the damaged throttle body back. Its ****ed up in the first place of you not even disclosing that it was damaged and then selling it to me for the going rate for a non damaged one.. Send me the $20 that i have to pay to fix the damage and you can repair this situation

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
it doesnt matter what my plans are for the throttle body ... its getting machined ... they HAVE to take the ding/dent/warp out of it first before they can bore it .. .so i have to pay to fix the damage reguardless... and I personally dont care where you got it ... you sold it to me damaged and never disclosed such .. but hey man.. i appreciate the shaft .. wish we could have worked this out.

I think that would fall under fluid dynamics, not thermo

Either way, the point is - if you buy a part and it was never specified that it was damaged, it is expected to arrive in a good condition. Whether or not it actually affects performance may be an opinion without testing, but he paid for what he thought was a good condition part and didn't get it. Since he is boring it, there will be a problem there and it will have to be fixed first, which defeats the purpose. Please sellers, be honest.

Give the man $20 bux and save your name and dignity...Once your name is tarnished, not even $100 bux could clean it. What goes around, comes around...You dont have to make money on every deal...just make it up on the next and keep your customers that way.

$10.00 Period not giving him $20.00 for something I didn't know about.

It is a good thing I never bought anything from this guy. Imagine getting screwed on one of his high dollar items. No wonder he titled his post "Buy all my SH*T!"

Well boss .. i sent the money to your home address... and the package has your home address on it? I doubt the story someone else shipped it for you under your name/address ... you were all rude and shit when i tried to settle this .. and how could you have argued with me that it wouldnt effect the airflow if you had never seen the damage ?? and now trying to jew the damage repairs down to $10 ? go **** yourself ... you had your chance .. im cuttin my losses and letting others see how you do business

You can ask others how I do business! All will say your the only one trying to start shit with your girlie finger nails on the Throttle body. Like I have said several times I didn't know about the dent. I used it like that for months, had no clue about it. Ask Roby bout his Intake Manifold, ask Robust about his fuel pressure regulator and fuel injectors, ask other people on honda-tech.

**** all you want!
