They can be used in any kit or setup that currently utilizes a v-band style 44mm gate, (Tial, Turbosmart, etc) but will work best with the supplied inlet flange (the inside diameter of our flange is slightly larger than our competitors). The wastegates will be shipped with all the necessary hardware (flanges, clamps, springs, etc), and can accommodate a wide range of boost pressures (anywhere from 1.5PSI up to 25.5PSI). All units feature a black anodized billet aluminum wastegate cap, and a Kevlar reinforced silicone diaphragm. In addition, the unit features a five angle valve job, as well as five high temp 17-7 ph springs (more durable and can withstand higher temperatures before changing rate). Lastly, the PW46 is set up for a 1 3/4" pipe on the discharge side, and a 1 7/8" pipe on the inlet. This wastegate is plug n play replacement for Tial's 44m wastegate.

Unlike other tuning options, the AccessPORT is truly unique in its capabilities that go far beyond typical “chipping” or “reflashing” solutions. This is where the AccessPORT clearly stands out from the competition:

Simple Installation - Just about anyone with even the most basic of automotive knowledge can quickly and easily install an AccessPORT. No computers, wire cutting/splicing or tools of any kind are required.

Base Maps - COBB Tuning provides several preloaded maps for common power modifications. Each base map is dyno developed and rigorously tested in multiple COBB Tuning facilities across the country These tests cover the spectrum of altitude, temperature, humidity, octane and fuel quality variables to ensure proper calibration and performance wherever the car is driven.

Change Maps - Since all base maps and custom tune maps are stored in the AccessPORT, you can change maps any time you want. Switch to a race gas map for that extra performance at the track. Go to the Fuel Economy map for those long boring drives. Load the Valet map to keep revs below 3,200 when you drop your car off with the parking attendant. The Anti-Theft map does not allow the car to start, keeping it safe in suspect areas or during extended parking.

Performance - Turn on your own portable performance evaluation suite! Measure 0-60mph time, 60 foot and 1/4 mile ET’s and Trap Speed. Switch to Dynamometer simulation and calculate your vehicle’s horsepower and torque.

Live Data - Monitor OEM sensor data on-the-fly. Use the AccessPORT as an additional gauge to monitor a huge number of signals, like: Accel Pedal Position, Actual AFR, Baro Press, Coolant Temp, Fuel Trims (short and long), Ignition Advance, Intake Temp, MAP, Mass Airflow, Intake Valve Advance, VTEC Status and many more!

Datalogging - Onboard datalogging allows multiple channels of data to be recorded simultaneously for later review. This allows for analysis of current engine performance. Datalogs can be sent to professional tuners to provide additional power gains remotely through email!

Trouble Codes - The AccessPORT allows you to read engine codes to troubleshoot issues and potentially save you from an expensive trip to the dealership. Once the issue is resolved, clear the codes and turn off the check engine light.

Uninstall - In the event the car must be returned to the stock configuration, the AccessPORT can be completely removed and the ECU restored to its factory condition. Perfect for trips to the dealership.

WHO IS DR. Charles
Dr. Charles Madrid, more commonly known as Dr. Charles is one of the founding fathers of sport compact racing. He worked at Pit Crew Motorsports in 96-97 before moving to Atomic Motorsports. After a while, Dr. Charles moved to Area 51 Fabrication, then Autolink Motorworks, before racing for Team Bergenholtz and finally coming to Skunk2 Racing. He was one of the first people to do engine swaps such as the first H22A-powered CRX in 1995, H22A-powered Honda Civic in 1997, and finally the K20A-powered Honda Civic in 2001. He currently owns a 1988-1991 civic wagon with a k24 engine swapped into it.
Dr. Charles is known to be the guinea pig for a lot of people. Offer him a car, tell him what you want, and he'll work his magic as one of the best mechanics in the Honda world. He is also known for his record-breaking 30-minute engine swap (b16a) .
Doctor Charles has appeared in many television programs such as Discovery Channel's "Street Racer" (which didn't make it past the pilot). Ironically, they had him working on a Mitsubishi/Diamond-Star Motors Eagle Talon that was against an EK chassis Civic owned by a Leila Flores of Temecula, CA. Doctor Charles is known to be a huge supporter of the Honda/Acura scene, with a great disdain towards mitsubishi motors.
He has also appeared in a miniseries on the Speed Channel entitled "Street Tuner Challenge." It chronicled a build of a Honda Fit that was given to Skunk2 by Honda Motor Corporation. The Fit was pitted against a 1.8t Golf GTI and the Sony Xplod Mustang. The Fit lost in the program, coming in third. Madrid has commented on Honda not allowing Skunk2 on swapping the L15 motor out for a K20.
He has appeard on the second season of street tuner challenge, once again working on a Mitsubishi four-wheel drive vehicle. A 2007 Mitsubishi motors EVOLUTION IX, a throw back to the pilot episode of street racer challenge. Charles is quoted saying "I'm not a big fan of Mitsubishi, but they hit it right when they made the EVO"
On the Discovery Channel, it showed doctor Charles working at a shop with Chris Hansen, the name of the shop is Autolink Motorworks in Temple City.
